Terms & Conditions
The following Terms and Conditions apply to all reservations made via our website (www.mulberries.mt). Guests are kindly requested to review these carefully prior to confirming a booking.
Prices
All prices listed on our website are in Euro (€) and include 7% VAT. Rates vary depending on room type and are offered on a bed and breakfast basis.
Additional services, extra beds, or special requests made at the time of booking may incur supplementary charges.
Reservations
All reservations must be secured with valid card details. Payment is required in full prior to or upon check-in, depending on the selected rate plan.
Card details are processed securely through a third-party system. Our staff does not have direct access to these details and will only request them when necessary.
Payments & Charges
Reservations made directly with Mulberries must be settled prior to check-in or upon arrival, in accordance with the chosen rate plan.
Additional services and consumptions must be settled either at the time of use or at check-out. Any outstanding balance may be charged to the card provided at booking.
ECO Tax (Environmental Contribution)
An Environmental Contribution (ECO TAX) of €0.50 per adult per night is payable upon check-in and is not included in the room rate.
Effective from 1 July 2026, this tax will increase to €1.50 per adult per night, capped at €22.50 per stay.
Cancellations or Changes
Cancellations or modifications are permitted up to 7 days prior to the scheduled check-in date.
- Cancellations made after this period are non-refundable.
- Changes after the cut-off date are generally not permitted.
- In exceptional circumstances, guests may submit a written request via email; approval is subject to availability and management discretion.
- Any approved changes may result in revised room rates depending on seasonality and availability.
Check-in & Check-out
Check-in:
- Check-in is available from 14:00 onwards.
- Reception is open daily until 19:00.
- Guests arriving after 19:00 must contact the property in advance to receive self check-in instructions.
- Guests are required to provide a valid official identification document upon arrival. Entry may be refused if valid ID is not presented.
All guest information may be recorded and shared with authorities as required by law.
Check-out:
- Check-out time is 11:00.
- Guests are requested to vacate rooms by this time.
- A luggage storage facility is available for late departures.
- Guests departing early must settle any outstanding balances the day before departure.
Changes or Cancellation by Mulberries
Mulberries reserves the right to cancel, refuse, or modify a reservation at its discretion.
In such cases:
- A full refund will be issued if payment has been made.
- The hotel will not be liable for any further compensation.
- Every effort will be made to relocate guests to accommodation of similar or higher standard.
Room allocations may be adjusted due to unforeseen circumstances; any alternative provided will be of equal or higher quality.
Breakfast
Breakfast is served daily between 08:00 and 10:00.
Guests are kindly requested to inform the hotel in advance of any food allergies, intolerances, or dietary requirements. While we will make every effort to accommodate such requests, availability cannot be guaranteed unless prior notice is given.
Side orders or additional items may be available upon request, depending on operational capacity. The hotel reserves the right to apply additional charges for such items where applicable.
Special Requests
Any special requests (including but not limited to room preferences, dietary requirements, early check-in, late check-out, or additional services) must be communicated in advance and are subject to availability.
While the hotel will make every reasonable effort to accommodate requests, these cannot be guaranteed unless confirmed in writing by management. Additional charges may apply depending on the nature of the request
Pets
Pets are not permitted on the property.
While we are fond of animals and would ideally like to be a pet-friendly establishment, we acknowledge that not all pets are suited to a hotel environment and that some guests may have allergies or phobias. In order to ensure the comfort and wellbeing of all our guests, we have adopted a no-pets policy.
In the event that a guest arrives with a pet without notification, the property reserves the right to refuse accommodation or cancel the reservation without refund.
Exceptions may only be made at the sole discretion of management and must be agreed in writing prior to arrival. In such cases, additional terms and charges may apply.
Guests remain responsible for any damage, disturbance, or additional cleaning resulting from unauthorized animals
Wellness Area
The use of the Wellness Area (open seasonally) is complimentary for hotel guests daily from 08:00 to 17:00.
In line with our sustainability policy, guests are kindly requested to pre-book the Sauna and Steam Room at least 2 hours in advance at Reception.
Exclusive wellness packages, beauty treatments, and massage services are also available at an additional charge.
Swimming Pool Temperature
Our indoor swimming pool is heated using ecological solar thermal collectors. As a result, water temperature may vary between 25°C and 30°C depending on seasonal conditions.
Parking
Free public roadside parking is available near the property.
A secure underground garage is also available but spaces are limited; advance reservation is recommended. Guests booking directly may benefit from complimentary garage access.
All vehicles and contents are parked at the owner’s risk. The hotel accepts no responsibility for loss or damage. Garage usage is subject to safety and security rules.
Smoking Policy
Smoking is strictly prohibited in all indoor areas and guest suites.
Smoking is only permitted in designated outdoor areas, provided it does not disturb other guests.
A cleaning fee of €250 will be charged if smoking occurs inside the rooms.
Children Policy
Mulberries welcomes young guests aged 13 to 17 only when accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times.
Requests for extra beds, interconnected rooms, or family arrangements must be made prior to booking confirmation.
Guest Conduct, Misbehaviour & Illegal Substances
Guests are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and appropriate manner at all times, with consideration for other guests, staff, and property.
The hotel reserves the right to refuse accommodation, terminate a stay without refund, or take appropriate action in cases of:
- Disruptive, abusive, or inappropriate behaviour
- Damage or misuse of hotel property
- Non-compliance with hotel policies
The use, possession, or smoking of illegal substances is strictly prohibited within the hotel premises and in any public or shared spaces. Any such activity will be treated as a serious breach of these Terms & Conditions and will be handled in accordance with applicable Maltese legislation. The hotel reserves the right to report any such incidents to the relevant authorities.
Any damages caused by guests, whether accidental or intentional, may be charged accordingly to the guest.
Company Liability
The Company shall not be liable for:
- Indirect or consequential loss
- Loss of profit, goodwill, or opportunity
Total liability shall not exceed the value of the reservation.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by negligence
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation

- The Company reserves the right to amend, cancel, or vary information without notice
